Description - Rock Fig is endemic to Central and Northern Australia. A lithophytic plant, it will grow on rocky outcrops to 10m high untamed.


Fruits - It produces a high volume of fruits which ripens during summer. Fruits can range from small to impressive sizes appearing in green to yellow colours.

Cultivation - Rock Fig grows 1-8 metres high and 1-5m wide outdoor. Adapted to barren lands in the Northern Territory, they prefer to grow poor soils but won't mind loamy, Sandy loam, Clay loam or even commercial potting mix. We use Osmocote Premium Potting Mix.


Uses - The figs are rich in pectin, which acts as a detoxifier for your digestive system. It removes excess cholesterol in its wake and transforms it into waste to be excreted off the body. The fruit is also rich in Vitamin A, B1 and B2, as well minerals such as Manganese, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium, Iron and phosphorus.

Yes! They're great pot plants.

What soil should I use? 

For all of our plants, we recommend using Osmocote Premium Potting Mix (orange bag) or equivalent. Any soil without fillers or added fertilizers can work too. 


What fertilizer should I use? 

If grown in a pot, using a native fertilizer should do the trick. They like low-phosphorus, so normal fertilizer might not do.

Can you ship it to me?

We ship everywhere except WA, TAS, SA and the NT. For other countries, please check local quarantine laws for more information.

Desert Fig fruit is eaten when soft and ripe but is also suitable as a bonsai tree. Desert Fig produces a high volume of fruits which ripens during summer. Fruits can range from small to impressive sizes appearing in green to yellow colours. The largest fruits are extremely sweet and the pulp resembles strawberry

A low maintenance tree, it will flourish in Sub-tropical, Warm temperate, Cool temperate, Mediterranean, Semi-arid climate.

Description - An dense native shrub that is endemic to coastal areas of Australia. It is a shrub or small tree which grows on dunes and coastal cliffs, is very salt tolerant and widely used in horticulture.


Foliage - Thick, smooth green leaves which are 30–90 mm long.

Flowers - White flowers with purple spots appear in the leaf axils in clusters of three to eight and are 6–8 mm in diameter.

Cultivation - PEndemic to coastal regions, Boobialla is found along coastlines in sandy, salty soils and tolerants a variety of conditions. For best results, it is wind and drought tolerant and should be planted in well draining soil.

Uses - Each the small seeded berries fresh, or dry and ground to use as a botanical flavour enhancer in cocktails or jams.
