What does the chocolate taste like?

This is an intense dark vegan chocolate with a very hint of stewed apples that lightly comes through.

How do you ship it in warm weather?

Chocolate melts. We highly recommend sending all your chocolate via express post. We always ship in isolated bags to warmer locations. In summer, we'll add an ice pack.

Where does Gubinge (Kakadu Plum) come from?

Endemic to pockets of monsoonal North Australia, the Nyul Nyul People around Dampier Peninsula (just north of Broome, Australia) used the healing powers of the tree to cure sickness and stay in good health for thousands of years.

What does it taste like?
Tart and fruity, with a slightly natural malt flavour

Why is this Freeze-Dried?
Out of most preservation techniques, freeze-drying is known to hold the most nutrients compared to other preservation methods. This means the Gubinge (Kakadu Plum) powder will last longer, have higher nutritients and be free from preservatives and nasties.

Where does Jilungin come from?

Jilungin is harvested on the Dampier Peninsula, just north of Broome in Western Australia by First Nations People.

Do you guarantee it will improve my sleep?
We've found it's helped us, and it's helped thousands of others too. It might make you sleep faster, it might make you have a deeper sleep, or simply it might make your dreams more vivid. If it doesn't work for you, we'll give you your money back.

What does it taste like?
Herby and Earthy

Is this loose leaf?
Yes it is :)

How do you support Nyul Nyul people?
We source our Jilungin directly from Nyul Nyul people and pay the prices they set. On top of that, we operate profit-sharing agreements with Nyul Nyul people and assist with purchasing much needed equipment. Read more in our Transparency and Impact Statement.

What do you mean $1 goes back to building First Nation Bushfood enterprises?

We're planning to launch something exciting soon and want to share the profits from our products with some incredible people. We'll always disclose the way any of this money is spent on our Transparency Statement, but for now we're building up a fund to launch our first project.

How much is shipping?

Australia - $9.95 standard or $15 express.

Worldwide - Starting from $25 (Australian Dollars)

Do you ship everywhere?

We do ship everywhere! Although we're not able to ship to Mars yet - sorry Elon!

I have an issue with my order, how do I contact you?

If you have any issues with any aspect of your order, please reach out to us at hello@melbournebushfood.com.au

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes we do! I guess you're a pretty fun, exciting biz that takes ethics and sustainability seriously too so we'd love to chat: sales@melbournebushfood.com.au

Gubinge is the Nyul Nyul word for the Kakadu Plum fruit. Wild harvested by the People of Mercedes Cove, each plum is harvested a few hours north of Broome. It bears fruit which contains the world’s highest natural concentration of Vitamin C.

Jilungin is Australia's native hardcore chamomile alternative that has been used for thousands of years by Nyul Nyul people as a powerful sleep tonic. Traditional Owner and Nyul Nyul Elder, Bruno Dann describes Jilungin as "a very relaxing tea we usually have before we go to bed at night for a lovely deep sleep. We call it the dreaming tea".

These products are Vegan.

$1 from each tablet sold goes back to building First Nation bushfood enterprises. 10% of the profits of this fruit go directly to the Mercedes Aboriginal Corporation who supplied us with their fruit.
