Description - A tall tree variety that can grow up to 8m high and produces fruits which have a tart sweet flavour. The fruits can be eaten raw or added to jams and jellies.


Foliage - Large, long and broad sausage shaped leaves, which are deep green in colour.

Harvesting - The fruits should be collected immediately they ripen as they attract bees, birds and other garden creatures.

Cultivation - Grows naturally along the East Coast of Australia. For best results, protect the plant from strong winds and frosts and apply organic fertilizers lightly around spring time.

Uses - Eat the small seeded berries fresh, or dry and ground to use as a botanical flavour enhancer in cocktails or jams.

For all of our plants, we recommend using Osmocote Premium Potting Mix (orange bag) or equivalent. Any soil without fillers or added fertilizers can work too. 


What fertilizer should I use? 

If grown in a pot, using a native fertilizer should do the trick. They like low-phosphorus, so normal fertilizer might not do.

Can you ship it to me?

We ship everywhere except WA, TAS, SA and the NT. For other countries, please check local quarantine laws for more information.

A native plant with long, broad, sausage shaped leaves. It produces yellow/orange fruits with a tart sweet taste.


The fruits can be eaten raw or added to jams and jellies. It is very easy to grow since it can be grown in pots, you'll need to protect it from strong winds and is highly sensitive to frosts hence should be sheltered/ protected from frosts to avoid damage.


The sweetness of the fruit depends on the ripeness.

Description - An dense native shrub that is endemic to coastal areas of Australia. It is a shrub or small tree which grows on dunes and coastal cliffs, is very salt tolerant and widely used in horticulture.


Foliage - Thick, smooth green leaves which are 30–90 mm long.

Flowers - White flowers with purple spots appear in the leaf axils in clusters of three to eight and are 6–8 mm in diameter.

Cultivation - PEndemic to coastal regions, Boobialla is found along coastlines in sandy, salty soils and tolerants a variety of conditions. For best results, it is wind and drought tolerant and should be planted in well draining soil.

Uses - Each the small seeded berries fresh, or dry and ground to use as a botanical flavour enhancer in cocktails or jams.
