Natives don't get much sweeter than this!
Vanilla Lily is a tuberous plant that produces small fragrant flowers with a lovely and sweet vanilla-like aroma. They thrive in pots or in the garden and go dormant during times of drought (be careful not to mistake its regrowth for weeds).
The tubers of the Vanilla Lily are mild in flavour, however, once cleaned, cut into thin slices and fried in an air fryer, they make a really delicious snack!
In transit, your Vanilla Lily may look unwell, but in stressful conditions the tuber kills its grassy leaves which will shoot back when conditions are right.
