bushfood climate zones

Getting Started:

First, locate your climate zone on the map or below. Then, consult our sowing chart for key seed sowing times in your zone. While climate zones offer guidance, remember various factors influence plant growth, like unusual weather, your garden's microclimate, and your care. Trust your insight; if another zone suits your garden better, use it as a reference.

Our climate zones span Australia's vast areas, so consider local conditions too. Alpine areas have shorter growing seasons than cool coastal ones, despite both in 'Cool Temperate' zone. For cooler regions, check 'days to maturity' and pick varieties for short (6-12 week) seasons.
