This is such a good chai blend - unlike other chai blends using native spices, this one is not 'stingy' with the use of wattleseed or pepperberry. Very warming for autumn or winter mornings, and I loved it in my European summer iced teas! Can be brewed using water, or directly with warm milk (I used oat, soy, almond). Nice black tea base too, though unsure what type of black tea it is.
I also used it to make an icy granita, a coconut ice-cream, created a sugar syrup base with it to use in drinkies, ground it to add to a nutty muesli bar and banana muffins, and in a tea cake (Irish Tea Brack). It is featuring in gløgg this weekend (northern hemisphere winters need some warming!)
The best chai that I have ever had! The pepper berry hits the back of your throat and warms it up. Great if you have a sore throat!! It wouldn’t be sore for long!!
I had read reviews about this Wattleseed & Pepperberry Chai Tea and was keen to give it a try. What I didn't expect was for it to be my absolute favourite and to top all the other teas I have in the cupboard by tenfold! I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS TEA HIGH ENOUGH!! Thank you Melbourne Bushfood for such a great tea mix!
