Lilly Pilly is a hardy tree that can easily be grown as a great windbreak, hedge or garden ornament.

It produces an abundance of crispy pink/purple fruits with the same crunch as an apple during winter to late spring.

The fruit is slightly acidic and sweet and the tartness makes them perfect for jellies, jams, or cakes. Left to ferment, Lilly Pilly produce excellent vinegar with super fruity notes.

Sun: Full-sun or Part-sun.
Size:  6m+ Tree or Shrub.
Pots: Does extremely well in pots.
Feeding: Feed a high-quality native plant food every 6 months, especially after flowering.

A plant as pretty as its name!

Lilly Pilly is native to eastern Australia, from Wilson’s Promontory (VIC) to Cape York (QLD) and is able to survive in temperate to tropical climates. A young Lilly Pilly can be frost tender so it is important to keep an eye on them when you first receive the plant. As they grow, they become far more hardy and once matured, they make for a great windbreak, hedge or garden ornament. The tree also produces a small round pink/purple fruit from winter through to summer that you can eat straight off the bush! However if you want to get the most out of the berry, we would recommend you make it into a delicious jam!
